Is it wise to use your looks for advantage?

I really want to be a famous author and I would like to model, but not Tyra Banks runway model, but photoshoots and taking pictures type of modeling. I'm pretty smart and I'm all for female rights, but I figured if you want to be famous, you have to at least play pretty and get ahead. I don't wanna sleep with anyone, but people have told me I was pretty and even described me as a "black" "Vivien Leigh" or resembling of Beyonce, so I was wondering if I could use that to become a famous author. Marilyn Monroe did it and it got her everywhere.
