Does god like his followers to be child like because they are easier to manipulate?

When he talks about his followers becoming childlike, he is putting emphasis on the innocence that comes with being a child. God loves children very much because they are humble and have many of the qualities that adults often forget. He does not choose to manipulate us because he wants a connection to us like a father to a son, not like a conqueror over zombies. God loves us and wants us to love him in return. Would you love him if he treated us like play toys? Instead, he treats us like valuable works of art that he created in love to encourage a relationship with us. To some God up: He is Love.
