Assassins Creed 1 Memory Block 2 problems. 10 points to first response?

It says that i have done the second and third strand of memory from block 4, but i haven't done the first one in Damascus, the Abu'l Nuqoud guy.. and then when i talk to the leader he doesn't tell me anything, just that he gives me luck and stuff, VERY short conversation, what do i do?
