How come it's such a big deal when black people face racism but ignored when other races face it?

I guess because the African American population have had it worse than us before. I mean the generations that have lived here have faced segregation and lynching and what not. Also because they make up the largest non white group in the States. I know what you mean I'm Indian and have had some pretty nasty things said to me.
